Everyone I know hates DPS and how nothing is efficient and there's no emphasis on serving the public, blah, blah. But the cash for clunkers is a PR nightmare. My neighbor who's works for a dealer said he's lucky his outfit has enough room to store all the cars they're taking. He's got something like 200 cars waiting to be junked and a lot big enough to handle them. Other places, he said, have to pay to rent space to house them until such time as they can have their engines seized and then disposed of. Crazy. Oh, and he hasn't been paid one red cent yet.
