The Judge attmpted to make light of our choosing, instructing the 40 person panel of prospective jurors to: “Hold their applause until all twelve winners’ names had been called out.”
That was about as good as it got.
We have noticed that trials are very similar to weddings. There is the plaintif’s side and the defense side. Even defense witnesses will take the long way to the witness box in order to avoid going through enemy plaintif territory.
More later. Not only am I protecting democracy through serving on a jury this week… I need to go vote.
I feel so patriotic I could cry.
Send condolences through comments. And I’m still looking for that one story in comments that will make this all worthwhile!

Jim,
“Defender of Liberty, Protector of the Constitution” has a nice ring to it don’t you think?
I’ll send you the new business card once it is back from the printer.
